Résistance as a practice of art
Wir feiern, um Gewichtsdiskriminierung in Schutt&Asche zu tanzen! ThiccPhatUTOPIAS – la Résistance! Bringt multi-dimensionale Fat-Power, queer-femininistisches Tanzen, Trans-Joy und gay-ing ins WUK.

Wir bemühen uns, eine möglichst zugängliche Veranstaltung umzusetzen, weben unsere Learnings der ersten Edition ein und gestalten einen rassismuskritischen Raum! Im Besonderen Menschen aus marginalisierten Communities sind herzlich eingeladen zum Feiern!

ThiccPhatUTOPIAS ist ein facettenreiches, multipel-zugängliches Mini-Festival an einem Abend und wird politisch gerahmt von Kumi Mores Poesie. Kumis Text drückt aus, was so viele von uns fühlen und schafft in so liebevollerweise in Worte zu fassen, was ThiccPhatUTOPIAS – La Résistance umfasst.

Language: German and English spoken language will be used at the event. The moderation and parts of the event will be translated into Austrian sign language throughout the evening.

Colorful lights and lighting effects are used during all performances, but explicitly no strobe effects

Sound effects: Loud basses are used

The event hall is mostly unseated. However, it is very important to us that everyone can enjoy a long evening with lots of power. For this reason, we are setting up a platform with a raised seating area so that people who want to take a break from standing (and need to rest) also have a good view and can continue to take part in the event

The WUK can be reached well by public transportation (U6, streetcar 37, 38, 40, 41, 42).

Access to the foyer and event hall is wheelchair-accessible and there is a toilet with grab rails
