Salzburg Easter Festival
Osterfestspiele Salzburg has been a defining festival for opera and concerts around Easter since 1967. Under Artistic Director Nikolaus Bachler, the ten-day programme features an opera production, orchestral and choral concerts, plus chamber and special formats; since its repositioning, cross-genre events have been added. The festival is centred on the Festspielbezirk, with performances in the Grosses Festspielhaus; depending on the edition, the Haus für Mozart and the Felsenreitschule are also used. For audiences under 27, heavily discounted tickets are available exclusively in the Ticket Gretchen app.
