Chamber concert dedicated to the memory of Armas Järnefelt. Musicians from the Royal Swedish Orchestra perform some of the the most beloved pieces by Jean Sibelius and Wilhelm Stenhammar. The common denominator is conductor Armas Järnefelt, who was not only a skilled interpreter of their repertoire, but also a composer in high demand. His work was widely known amongst his contemporaries, and his work for the cinema contributed to his fame. Finnish-born Järnefelt worked as a conductor at the Royal Swedish Opera between 1907 and 1932.
